The Animated Life™ Brand Design
Amanda Macfarlane, a freelance concept and character artist (Warner Bros. Animation, Hasbro Toys, More) commissioned our agency to design a full brand suite that properly represented her work and products.

Energetically, we drove into her wonderful cartoons, building out the mood board with art samples we felt embodied her style from technique to color favorites. Then the hunt began for the perfect typeface pairings (we compiled quite a few) and the right creative approach.
When we pitched them all to Amanda, she swooned the marker font + bold film-style sans serif and approved the FULL color palette we had created to proceed to the next round of creative.
She loved our art direction
to include her illustrations within the marks and we sat down to define what those illustrations should be, the placement, and 'frame' work.

Amanda MacFarlane is a self-taught artist with a huge passion for character design and concept art. Whenever she watched a cartoon with her kids, she used to imagine that she had worked on the team that created it. That passion led her to start 'animating' her life as a mom of 3 kids. The tiredness, tears, exhaustion, and don't forget the endless cups of coffee. And day after day she would release her work on The Animated Life™ channels until one day she woke up as a Freelance Visual Development Artist at animation powerhouse, Warner Bros. Animation! Since Amanda has worked for other companies like Hasbro® for character design and has amassed over 2.5M cartoon-enthusiast-followers across platforms on social! In the day-to-day, you can find Amanda bunkering down behind her artboard or iPad with a strong cup of coffee, zest for adventure, and of course cartoons!
